A smoothie to refresh & rehydrate


Have you been out in the sun at the beach or working on a project, and just started spritzing like a spring shower?  You know how it is when the water is running off your face faster than you can wipe it up, and you start to feel a bit woozy.   Well that is not good, but it happens to me quite often when I just want to finish ‘one more thing’.

That is when I make myself a smoothie to get my blood sugar back where it should be and replenish some of my electrolytes.  I like to put in a banana for the potassium, and some other fruit like strawberries or blueberries.  I then add some kale & spinach, yogurt, a bit of milk and my secret ingredient.  I put in a few tablespoons of BAOBAB powder.  It is a product of a tree found in South Africa. It supplies vitamin C, iron, magnesium, potassium, calcium and fiber.  If you can’t find it at your grocery store, here is a link http://www.betterbodyfoods.com

I think it is better for me than some of the drinks you can buy over the counter, and probably cheaper too!

Take care of your body.  It is a marvelous machine and really does not come with too many replacement parts.  If you take care of it, it will take care of you
