This book by Hallie Rubenhold is the first of a trilogy. As I was reading it, I kept thinking to myself that there are such wonderful snippets of experience that young women should know!
“At the time, there seemed no possible redemption for me, no hope. I believed all my dreams to be entirely crushed, but I soon learned otherwise”. “How?” I enquired, humbled by her tale. “Persistence, Mrs. Lightfoot, and a degree of patience. The tide often turns when we least expect it, and then opportunity arrives upon it. But you must keep your eyes on the horizon, and not down, sullenly staring at your feet.”
I look forward to reading the next book!
